WHCA AB Member Now Providing HCA Testing at Three Locations!

The Department of Health has now approved S&H Training Center to administer the state exam to all home care aide candidates in Olympia, Sequim and Vancouver. The owner at S&H hopes to open to more locations across the state next year.

If a home care aide has NOT already paid/scheduled their state exam with Prometric, then they can take the written and skills exams with an S&H Training instructor.

If you want to take the exam with S&H Training, follow the steps below:

  1. Apply for the home care aide credential with the Department of Health (if you haven’t already): https://doh.wa.gov/licenses-permits-and-certificates/professions-new-renew-or-update/apply-online/online-instructions
on page 5, write in one of our site codes
    For Olympia – SHOLYMP
    For Sequim – SHSEQUIM
    For Vancouver – SHVANC
  2. Fill out S&H’s testing registration form: https://pci.jotform.com/form/252677708953169
  3. After paying, S&H will send a link to choose the date/time for the exams

Why take the exam with S&H training?

  • Save Money:  written/skills exam is $130 ( Prometric $150)
  • Instant Results: exam results are shared with the candidate immediately
  • Quick Scheduling: No waiting for the Department of Health or Prometric
  • Retake Option: If the candidate only passes 2 of the 3 skills, S&H can assign a 4th skill right then. If the candidate passes 3 of the 4 skills, then they pass the exam. No need to reschedule the exam or pay again.
