Announcing the RCS Survey Agency Fall Forums

Long-term care providers are invited to attend the Home and Community Living Administration, Division of Residential Care Services Survey Agency Fall 2025 Forums for SNF and AL. They are open to licensed nursing home and assisted living providers and an occasion for you to meet your Residential Care Services Field Managers and Regional Administrators, discuss important topics of interest, hear regulatory updates, receive education, and learn about opportunities for quality improvement. Most importantly, you have the chance to come together and strengthen communication and understanding of our shared mission and partnership of quality care and service delivery in nursing homes and assisted living facilities for our most vulnerable clients and residents in the state.

Residential Care Services is pleased to partner with the Washington Health Care Association and LeadingAge of Washington to bring you these forums. Forum education will be about 1) emergency preparedness requirements and 2) infection control prevention updates.  After attending the Fall 2025 forums, attendees should be able to:

  • Know the status of the new rules that took effect on September 6, 2025. The rule change implements Substitute House Bill 1218 (2021).
  • Recognize the applicability of the new rules relative to specific facility operations and communications with staff, residents.
  • Be aware of fall and winter seasonal emergency preparedness; plan, stay informed, and be safe.
  • Be aware of how to contact the Residential Care Services Emergency Preparedness Coordinator
