WHCA Board Member Appointed to National Committees Representing Long-Term Care
Monica Chopra, Vice President of Health and Wellness for Cascadia Senior Living and Development, has been selected to serve on three national committees for the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) starting in 2026. Her involvement in the AHCA/NCAL Emergency Preparedness and Life Safety Committee, Clinical Practice Committee, and Quality Committee will lend a Washington focus to areas of long-term care. Monica’s interest in these committees stems from a passion for resident care, safety, and quality. Per Monica, national involvement allows her to share real world experiences and learn from colleagues across the country. As a WHCA member, she can support state efforts by sharing national updates, collaborating with peers, and helping connect state and national priorities. According to Monica, staying involved at both state and national levels is important, and helps keep her work practical and meaningful.
Congratulations to Monica for her appointment to these committees! We are grateful to have her represent our state and association with our national partners.
