New Antimicrobial Resistance Communications Toolkit
The CDC has released a new Antimicrobial Resistance Communications Toolkit. These materials were informed by formative research and designed to educate health care professionals, the public, and other stakeholders on the threat of antimicrobial resistance, and the everyday actions people can take to prevent infections and the spread of drug-resistant germs. These resources, including key messages, patient story videos, and dozens of graphics and sample social media posts, are available for your use at any time.
Under F881, nursing homes are required to have an antibiotic stewardship program within their overall infection prevention and control program. Here are five ways you can consider using these resources within your organization:
- Boost engagement by posting content across your social media channels.
- Enhance your website with ready-to-use graphics.
- Strengthen your presentations with talking points and visuals.
- Raise awareness by sharing these resources in your newsletters.
- Connect with your community by distributing fact sheets and showing videos at events.
All materials in the toolkit are in the public domain and meet digital accessibility requirements. Graphics are available in various file formats, colors, and dimensions. Materials may be translated into other languages as appropriate for your audience, however, please note these resources were only tested with English speaking U.S. consumers.
