WHCA Campaign Celebrates Residents Rights Month in October

October is LTC Residents Rights month, designed to honor all residents living or receiving care in our state’s skilled nursing, assisted living, and home and community-based care settings. In observation, WHCA is offering training, information and resources, and a dedicated webpage on all things residents rights including a downloadable poster for use in member care centers. Weekly social media posts and a dedicated Survey and Regulatory Update will round out the campaign, which kicks off next week during the WHCA/IHCA Fall Conference next week in Spokane. On Tuesday, September 24, WHCA’s Elena Madrid and Vicki McNealley will offer a foundational session where attendees can take 60 minutes to explore the intricacies of RCW 70.129 and discover the most overlooked or misapplied rights.
