DSHS Seeks Informal Dispute Resolution Volunteers

ALTSA/DSHS is looking for Provider and Consumer volunteers for the Nursing Home (NH) IDR Panel. NH Providers may dispute regulations and/or enforcements they have been found deficient by using this process. IDR has the authority to uphold the deficiency or remove it altogether. Panel volunteers will be responsible for recommending decisions about these matters. Volunteers are needed to participate in the Panel process.

Participants in the Panel will attend a one-day IDR training to learn the process for participating on the monthly IDR panel. Panelists review confidential materials to prepare for the IDR review meeting, listen to nursing home representative and RCS staff presentations, and make impartial recommendations based on information given during the IDR.
