Infection Control Guidance Released for Assisted Living Providers

This week, the Quality Assisted Living Collaborative, a national group including representatives from the National Center for Assisted Living and Argentum, released Infection Prevention & Control Guidelines for Assisted Living Communities. The guidelines are not without controversy. Organizations, including WHCA, did not support adopting a national standard that could potentially drive additional, unwarranted regulation. We appreciate the careful work on this project and commend Debbie Walker, Chief Wellness Officer from Cascade Living Group, for her work shaping these standards. If you have questions, please contact Vicki McNealley, WHCA Director of Assisted Living.
