Facility Assessment Action Brief – Now Available

On April 22, 2024, the final rule for Minimum Staffing Standards for Long-Term Care Facilities was released. This rule included significant updates to the Facility Assessment requirement. In response to these changes, AHCA has prepared an Action Brief to help nursing facilities navigate the new requirements. This brief is now available for download on ahcancalED. Member login is required.

The Action Brief provides a comprehensive overview of the updated rule and offers practical tips and steps for preparing for the assessment using the data-driven, evidence-based methods described in the rule. AHCA is planning to publish additional resources in the coming weeks as the Interpretive Guidance associated with this rule is released by CMS.
