Grassroots Update: Activities for Advocates

WHCA’s Annual Convention is right around the corner. Join us May 18-20 at the Seattle Airport Marriot for this exceptional opportunity to connect and learn with colleagues from across our state.

During Convention, we’ll host several advocate-focused activities, including an advocates’ luncheon where we’ll celebrate powerful, community-driven grassroots engagement. It’s a chance to network, discuss strategies that worked, those that didn’t, and reflect on the legislative gains made through provider initiatives and local storytelling.

For those new to advocacy, join us May 18 for a leadership panel featuring facility champions who have stepped into the advocacy arena and lived to tell the tale. This candid conversation brings together leaders who have testified before committees, met with legislators, mobilized their teams, hosted tours, sent messages, called legislator offices, and navigated speaking up for long-term care while still managing complex and sophisticated operations that demand focused attention.

WHCA-PAC FUNdraiser Bowl-A-Rama returns for its third year at Convention! This premier networking event is dedicated to supporting political candidates who uplift long-term care in their duties. Join us as we frame the moment, pin the memory, and light up the lanes May 19 from 5:30 to 9:00pm! Expect a fun night of music, dancing, and bowling off steam. Sponsorship opportunities still available – contact Aidan Swayne for more information.
