Updated COVID-19 Reporting Expectations

On July 18, DSHS issued an updated Dear Provider Letter outlining new expectations in reporting COVID-19 outbreaks to the Complaint Resolution Unit (CRU).  Now, for skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, reporting COVID-19 outbreaks to the CRU is encouraged but not required.  Likewise, reporting individual cases to the CRU is also voluntary.  Please note, reporting to your local public health jurisdiction has not changed.  For more questions on COVID-19 outbreak reporting and management, contact Jamie Ford.
