DSHS Updates Training Program Applications

Effective June 13, registered nurses working for an assisted living facility can apply to teach Core Nurse Delegation and Delegation: Focus on Diabetes classes for the caregivers working for the assisted living or any facilities associated with the same owner/company.  Likewise, an approved instructor can teach the Adult Education course on behalf of the assisted living facility.

Prior to June 13, only contracted community instructors could teach these classes.

Anticipate delays in the approval process, as DSHS training unit employees are expecting large numbers of applicants in the coming months.
