Grassroots Update: Make Your Voices Heard

The 2026 Legislative Session is in sight. With a tough session ahead, building strong legislative priorities means keeping our ears to the ground and listening closely to how evolving policy and fiscal challenges are impacting our membership. This grounds our advocacy work and helps us uplift the voices of clients throughout Washington who rely on the quality care our members provide.

WHCA has developed, in collaboration with LeadingAge Washington, a pre-session survey for assisted living and skilled nursing facility administrators. If you are an administrator you should have received this survey via email earlier this week – please let us know if you did not get it! We ask for just 15 minutes of your time to share with us the most pressing operational and policy challenges you face. This will guide our communications with state agencies and legislators, and ensure we have a strong foundation for advocacy in 2026.
