Manage Your Conveyances Easier Thanks to L&I

If you own, operate, or manage a building with conveyances (elevators, escalators, stair chairs, etc.) the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) has important news for you. L&I’s new Conveyance Management Portal (CMP or Portal) will launch on Feb. 26, 2025.

The Portal will improve the user experience for conveyance customers, making it easy to:

• Apply for, purchase, and print your annual operating certificate. No more waiting for the mail.
• Purchase new permits, and renew multiple permits at one time.
• See inspection results immediately and report corrections, or request extensions or waivers.
• Get alerts from L&I when action is needed.
