AHCA Annual Congressional Briefing: Washington Delegation

The American Health Care Association (AHCA) is holding its annual Congressional Briefing this summer, June 8-9. This is your chance as advocates and leaders to network with national providers and meet members of Congress. WHCA team members Lauri St. Ours and Aidan Swayne will be supporting WHCA members for these important visits. As we did last year, WHCA will be in attendance to coordinate visits with the Washington Congressional Delegation. This includes 10 members of the House and two US Senators, Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray. These meetings hold a special place in advocacy as exclusive opportunities to engage federal policymakers on issues such as provider taxes, Medicaid stability, and CMS regulations. Federal legislation is critical to the longevity of our sector, even if it feels a world away from our everyday lives.  

Having providers join is a key to ensuring that local stories reach Washington’s representatives in our nation’s capital.
