Staffing Agency Reporting Requirements in Effect Soon
Beginning January 2025, temporary staffing agencies designated “Nursing Pools” in Washington will be required to complete the annual reporting requirements outlined in RCW 18.52C.060. In Washington, temporary nurse staffing agencies are required to register as nurse pools. This important law is intended to provide agency rates transparency and accountability. You can review state law regarding agency staffing at Chapter 18.52C RCW.
Staffing agencies registered in Washington will be required to submit the previous year’s data between January 1st and January 31st each year. Failure to complete the annual reporting requirements can result in disciplinary action.
While this requirement does not address the reports about agency staffing fees that far exceed actual worker wages, the reporting requirements should help the legislature and policymakers understand the need for transparency.
