Grassroots Update: Advocacy at Annual Convention

Advocacy is on our minds for Annual Convention this May 18-20 in Seattle. If you plan to join us, be sure you catch up with the Government Relations team at one or more of the following events to reflect, collaborate, and celebrate grassroots engagement together this spring:

Exclusive Leadership Luncheon | May 18, 11:30am The WHCA team will be hosting an invite-only advocacy leadership luncheon to further parcel out strategy heading towards the 2027 legislative session. With the interim before us, we will use this time for alignment on strategies such as facility tours, legislator meetings, fundraisers, and more.

Advocacy Panel | May 18, 1:00pm This leadership panel brings together top grassroots advocates for a Q&A on how they committed time to advocacy, what made them apprehensive, what they found rewarding, and much more.

Facility Tour Table | May 18-20 We are bringing back our advocacy sign-up station for facility tours! Come register to give a tour in your community this summer and receive exclusive goodies.

WHCA PAC Bowl-A-Rama | May 19, 5:30pm Our annual FUNdraising event at Convention is back! Hit the lanes, network, and bowl the night away. Thanks to Hill Valley, Noble Healthcare, Cascadia, Evergreen, and Hyatt Management for grabbing lanes. More lanes are available as the competition heats up.

We hope to see you at the Annual Convention’s advocacy activities. These are opportunities for connecting with the providers who make our work possible and impactful. Olympia continues to be a challenging fiscal and policy environment, and we’re focused on building strong strategies to put our best foot forward, just as we do every year. Reach out to Aidan Swayne for more information.
