CDC Updates Guidance for COVID and Pneumonia Vaccines

 AL   SNF  | The Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) Director Mandy Cohen has endorsed two new recommendations from CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices' (ACIP) regarding the COVID and Pneumonia vaccines. These recommendations concern those 65 years of age and older, as well as those who are moderately to severely immunocompromised.

Residential Care Services Provides Reminders of Vaccine Recommendations

 SNF  | In an amended Dear Provider Letter to both assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, Residential Care Services reminds providers that flu, Covid-19, RSV and pneumococcal vaccines are the best protection against illness. Clarification is provided from the previous letter issued regarding guidance and resources. Please disregard the previous letter dated October 16, 2024.

SNF QRP Provider Threshold Report May Show Incorrect Data

 SNF  | The Internet Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (iQIES) reported an issue with the data reported on the SNF Provider Threshold Report. This report allows providers to monitor their compliance status of the required data submission for the SNF Quality Reporting Program (QRP).
