Recruitment for Public Member – Board of Nursing Home Administrators
The Department of Health has an opening for a public member on the Board of Nursing Home Administrators. This position requires one of the following:
- A resident of a nursing home,
- A family member of a reside of a nursing home, or
- A person eligible for Medicare.
We seek diversity in committee members. We recognize the value variety brings in understanding and serving the people of Washington State. We seek candidates with diverse backgrounds and those who provide geographic representation throughout the state.
Health profession boards, commissions and committees operate under legislative mandate to:
- Protect the health and safety of the public.
- Promote the welfare of the state by regulating the competency and quality of health care providers under their authority.
This is an unpaid volunteer position. Meetings’ will take place as necessary but are held at least once per year. Most meetings take place virtually. Members are reimbursed for travel costs.
