Home Care Aide Certification Exam Test Site Options

The Department of Health would like to share the following information for non-union caregivers seeking home care aide certification exams.

Non-union caregivers may complete their certification exams through Prometric or at one of the approved testing and training sites listed on the Department of Health website:

Over the coming weeks, the website will be updated to improve the test site search experience and make it more user-friendly. In the meantime, available testing locations can be found in the Excel spreadsheet and PDF documents currently posted on the website.

If you are a non-union caregiver and wish to schedule your certification exams at one of the listed testing and training sites, please contact the program directly using the contact information provided. Exam appointments must be scheduled directly with the independent program, and all examination fees must be paid directly to that program.

***Caregivers who are part of SEIU 775 Benefits Group will still test through Prometric unless notified otherwise by their training program.
