Grassroots Update: On the Campaign Trail

Over the past two weeks, WHCA has conducted a number of facility tours in collaboration with our members. These facility tours have provided an opportunity for WHCA to bridge connections between district legislators and long-term care experts in the field. These tours were also chances to pass along meaningful campaign contributions to candidates WHCA supports.

The WHCA-PAC certified 37 candidates to support during the primary election. Across the board, these are legislative leaders who we feel support our members, quality care delivery, and access for those who require long-term care services. WHCA is connecting with these champions throughout the state ensuring that diverse but powerful voices are connected with.

We want to thank the following providers for their time and energy:

  • Agility Health and Rehab, Vertical Health Services;
  • Transitional Care of Seattle, Evergreen Healthcare;
  • Avamere Rehabilitation of Issaquah; and
  • Clearwater Springs by Cogir.

If you’re interested in getting involved, reach out to Aidan Swayne. He will guide you through planning and executing a fruitful tour that sparks a meaningful relationship with your district legislator; one that can be sustained through your expertise and experience as a provider.
