Nurse Delegation Update

DSHS has recently updated the Resident Consent to Delegation form. While this form is optional for delegation in assisted living settings, it does capture all the required pieces of documentation to comply with the delegation regulations. For RN delegators who use this form, please update to the current version.

DSHS delegation team has recently announced cancellation of RN delegation orientation through the remainder of 2025. This state-offered orientation training is not required for RNs to delegate in assisted living.  RNs new to delegation in Washington’s assisted living facilities can learn more about delegation by visiting WHCA’s Learning Hub, where there are dedicated short videos, forms, as well as a three-hour recorded webinar on delegation.  These resources are available to members and nonmembers, free of charge.
