Skilled Nursing Facility Antimicrobial Stewardship Collaborative Registration

The Washington State Department of Health is hosting an antibiotic stewardship collaborative for long-term care facilities. This voluntary program aims to help facilities meet Centers for Medicare and Medicaid mandates and the CDC’s Core Elements of Antibiotic Stewardship for Nursing Homes.

Kicking off in September and running through May, the collaborative welcomes medical directors, consultant pharmacists, infection preventionists, directors of nursing, clinicians, and administrators. Participants can join anytime throughout the year and will receive a certificate upon completion.

Sessions will be hosted at 12:00pm the third Wednesday of each month. The 1-hr session will focus on implementation of best practices for antimicrobial stewardship and quality improvement tools, with time for Q&As. DOH experts can offer personalized support through office hours.
