A message from the Department of Health’s Healthcare Enforcement and Licensing Management System (HELMS) team
There’s only one week left until the launch of HELMS Lite on Wednesday, April 24th!
To ensure everyone is prepared, the DOH is sharing information about what is not and what is changing with the launch of HELMS Lite and how you can learn more.
What is HELMS?
HELMS (Healthcare Enforcement and Licensing Management System) is a modernized electronic licensing system that will replace the current outdated system for The Department of Health.

It is a replacement for the Online Licensing and Information Collection (OLIC) system used for the initial application process for professional credential applications. Facility applications will be part of the HELMS Credentials release in December 2024.
Fun Fact: The total number of credentials generated in 2024 was 54,266!
