Optional Checklist for Assisted Livings Serving Medicaid Clients
The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Home and Community Services (HCS) division has issued a Dear Administrator Letter outlining expectations of homes serving clients on a Medicaid waiver. The letter offers an optional facility checklist to aid in compliance of the federal Home and Community-Based Setting (HCBS) rule. Facilities with Medicaid contracts are encouraged to use this checklist to ensure all aspects of the federal rule are honored for each Medicaid-funded resident living in the facility.
