Grassroots Update: Your PAC Dollars at Work

For nearly 40 years, Washington Health Care Association has engaged in political action to support legislative candidates and strengthen the voice of long-term care in Olympia through the WHCA-PAC.

With half of the Senate and all House seats up for election in 2026, this has been an important year to educate candidates about the critical role skilled nursing and assisted living play in Washington’s health care system. To date, nearly 50 facility tours have been conducted with legislators in member facilities throughout our state.

That effort continues through early November. The WHCA lobby team is now distributing General Election contributions to longtime champions, candidates for open seats, and newcomers from both parties. These contributions are approved by the WHCA-PAC, which includes Lee Field, Senior Services of America, Karen Hyatt, Hyatt Corporation, Amanda Mullins, Ensign, Zack Wester, Noble Health Care, and Wayne Purdom, Cascade Senior Living.

This work is only possible through the continued support of WHCA members. Your WHCA-PAC contributions help us build relationships, support candidates, and strengthen long-term care advocacy across the state.
