Reminder to Share Our Story: Why Residents Love Your Assisted Living Community and Their Caregivers
NCAL needs your continued help in identifying residents and families who are willing to share their positive, life-affirming stories about assisted living.
In follow-up to the recent U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging hearing, Assisted Living Facilities: Understanding Long-Term Care Options for Older Adults, positive assisted living stories are still being accepted. Committee members need to hear directly from residents and their families why they chose assisted living, why they love it, what makes their community a home, and how their care team has become a family. Stories about how assisted living has helped improve quality of life, health outcomes, and supports families are also strongly encouraged.
Please direct residents and families to the AHCA/NCAL Action Center to learn more and easily submit comments directly to the committee members. It is crucial that they continue to share these stories and show how assisted living is truly providing high quality care at a high value to our nation’s seniors.
