On February 14, 2025, representatives from WHCA and our partners at LeadingAge Washington and SEIU 775 held a virtual rally to urge lawmakers to “Have a Heart for Seniors and Caregivers”. Our state is facing a massive budget deficit, and it’s critical that our state legislature understands how crucial it is to prioritize Medicaid funding for Washington’s assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Residents and caregivers alike depend on supportive funding – and as our aging population grows, the long-term care workforce is more important than ever.
