The National Floor Safety Institute was established in 1997 as a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization whose mission is: To aid in the prevention of slips, trips and falls through education, research, and standards development. NFSI is lead by a 15-member board of directors representing the floor cleaning industry, floor matting industry, insurance industry, risk management, architectural and design, medical and various trade associations.
