2020 WHCA Quality Awards

We are excited to launch the call for nominations for the 2020 WHCA Quality Awards!  These awards are presented each year to individuals who excel in their role and promote quality in assisted living or skilled nursing.  WHCA member communities can nominate individuals for these awards, and the awards will be presented at the Quality Awards Luncheon being held in Spokane on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at 12:00 pm. The luncheon will be at The Davenport Grand Hotel.

This year’s categories include:

  • Assisted Living Executive Director of the Year
  • Skilled Nursing Executive Director of the Year
  • Assisted Living Nurse of the Year
  • Skilled Nursing Nurse of the Year
  • Assisted Living Caregiver of the Year
  • Skilled Nursing Caregiver of the Year
  • Assisted Living Red Carpet Quality Service Award
  • Skilled Nursing Red Carpet Quality Service Award

Nominations will be accepted through March 30, 2020, and must be for employees of a WHCA-member facility.

Recipients must be able to attend the awards luncheon on May 20, 2020, in Spokane.

Criteria

AL Executive Director of the Year

This award recognizes an assisted living executive director who demonstrates outstanding innovation, achievement, and capabilities in their provision of high quality, person-centered care in a service-oriented culture in an assisted living community.

SNF Executive Director of the Year

This award recognizes an skilled nursing executive director who demonstrates outstanding innovation, achievement, and capabilities in their provision of high quality, person-centered care in a service-oriented culture in an skilled nursing community.

Assisted Living Nurse of the Year

This award recognizes an assisted living nurse who demonstrates outstanding innovation, achievement, and capabilities in their provision of high quality, person-centered care in a service-oriented culture in a assisted living community.

Skilled Nursing Nurse of the Year

This award recognizes a skilled nursing nurse who demonstrates outstanding innovation, achievement, and capabilities in their provision of high quality, person-centered care in a service-oriented culture in a skilled nursing community.

Assisted Living Caregiver of the Year

This award recognizes an assisted living caregiver who demonstrates outstanding innovation, achievement, and capabilities in their provision of high quality, person-centered care in a service-oriented culture in an assisted living community.

Skilled Nursing Caregiver of the Year

This award recognizes a skilled nursing caregiver who demonstrates outstanding innovation, achievement, and capabilities in their provision of high quality, person-centered care in a service-oriented culture in an skilled nursing community.

AL & SNF Red Carpet Award

This award recognizes a facility staff person who consistently demonstrates professionalism, a focus on customer service, and dedication to the vulnerable adults who live in assisted living or skilled nursing facilities. This award may include nominees from housekeeping/maintenance, front office/reception, marketing, medical records, driver, etc.
