May 28 2008 Wed      Event:  MDS Training Courses: The ABC's of MDS Location:  RCS Headquarters Blake East Building, Lacey Time:  8:30 AM - 4:30 PM      Event:  Mental Health Specialty Training Location:  WHCA Time:  9:00 AM - 5:00 PM May 28-29, 2008 All sessions will be held at the WHCA office in Tumwater. These intensive training sessions prepare administrators, or their designated trainers, to successfully pass the mandated competency test. After passing the competency test in the specialty area, the administrator or designated trainer is then approved to provide the specialty training to their facility’s caregivers. June 3 2008 Tue      Event:  Consistent Assignment – The Practice and the Experience Location:  (Teleconference) Time:  2:00 PM Consistent assignment is a concrete step that providers can take toward building their quality culture. Consistent assignment fosters stronger relationships between staff and residents which helps to maximize the effectiveness of staff in serving the needs of residents and also increases staff satisfaction. Please encourage your members to participate. There is no charge but they must register and also follow the steps to print the handouts.
