Nursing Home/Assisted Living Administrator - posted 7-16-08
Mt. Baker Care Center/Summit Place Assisted Living, A Regency Pacific Community, located in beautiful Bellingham, WA is seeking an administrator to lead its fabulous team. The facility has 70 nursing home beds and 34 assisted living apartments. This is a rare opportunity to manage a facility that has excellent census, stable staff, has a good annual inspection history, and most recently, had a deficiency free survey in April 2008.
This facility is known in the community to provide superior rehabilitation to those recovering from an acute illness and maintains a high Medicare census, in addition to providing excellent care to those who remain in the community for long-term care. Since the assisted living has only 34 apartments, each resident receives quite a bit of individual attention.
The perfect candidate would have superior customer service skills, understanding of both nursing home and assisted living regulations and ability to manage both simultaneously, has good fiscal management skills, and knowledge of Medicare regulations.
Regency Pacific offers a competitive salary, full benefit package, paid vacation and holidays.

Director of Nursing - posted 7-01-08
Sequim Health and Rehabilitation
650 West Hemlock
Sequim, WA 98382
We are seeking a Director of Nursing to join our vibrant and high energy team. Sequim Health and Rehab is a 100 bed skilled nursing facility that just recently opened its doors for the first time. Come visit us and be greeted by a warm fireplace and welcoming staff.
We offer leading wages, 401k, short/long term disability, paid life insurance, plus much more.
Please call Russ Kikkert at 866-536-1555 Ext 6 if you’re interested.
Or by email RKikkert@extendicare.com
Area Description (From CityofSequim.com):
"To a very special place, a place unlike any other in the world. Sequim (pronounced Skwim) lies in the Dungeness Valley, nestled between the majestic Olympic Mountains and the serene waters of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Highway 101 runs south of town with three exits into Sequim. This makes the city the gateway to the attractions of the North Olympic Peninsula. Sequim enjoys mild weather, truly spectacular scenery, and the bounty of land and sea. What makes the city really special though is the people. Whether long-term resident or "Jimmie-Come-Lately", you'll find our citizens friendly, relaxed and happy to be here."
The Sequim-Dungeness Valley area is located on the north coast of the Olympic Peninsula. We are about an hour and a half from the Seattle ferries, and half an hour from the ferry to Victoria, British Columbia. The town of Sequim is about 4 miles from the shore and the famous Dungeness Spit.
Due to a unique location in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains, the weather in Sequim is noticeably dryer than the rest of the area. The Olympics block the rains that soak the rest of the area. Sequim averages only 16 inches of rain a year. This "rain shadow" and mild temperatures have made Sequim a very popular retirement and recreation area, as well as a pleasant tourist destination.
Today, about 25,000 wonderful folks live in Sequim and the surrounding Dungeness Valley. Since the city has attracted retirees from all over, an increasing percentage are senior citizens. Even with our growth, we are proud of our home-town sense of community."
